Getting wired

Slink-e rocks! Thank-you Nirvis.

I need to do a long run from PC to slink-e and plan to use the CAT-5 solution. Can you please detail how I should wire the DB9 adapter? The info in the help file is too skimpy for me.

Below is a pic of my pieces.

Here's what I need to know:
1) Male adapter - Which colored wire goes into which pin number?
nb: there are only 8 wires and 9 pins, so 1 pin will be empty

2) Female adapter - Same question.

Note: colored wires map out like this:

white | yellow | red | orange
brown | green | black | blue
