The positions in the DB-9 headshells are numbered 1-9 if you you look very carfully on the plastic. Basically, you want to wire up pins 1-8 of the DB-9 on both sides. Because serial is relatively low speed and not differential, you don't need to worry about grouping things on twisted pairs. Just put the same colored wires in the same numbered holes on each end and you'll be in business. Colby
