I appreciate all of your attention to this matter, particularly the fact that I now know that I am not alone with this problem. Given all of the various information submitted, am I correct in my understanding that I can either modify the fields one at a time while in CDJ by double clicking on the field (not my first choice but you do what you have to do) or my other alternative is to install Access 2000 which I assume is the default database format currently in use. By the way, just for the record, my database is currently 732k bytes.
