Slink-e / CDJ Discussion Archive #5 Simple CDJ User Interface (a request)Posted By: Chris <chris@p...> First, my thanks to Colby for a great product. I've been using a simple Slinke/CDJ setup for a while now - I have the changer and audio stuff hidden away and the CDJ running on a dedicated laptop (an old one!). The problem I have is that, although the CDJ user interface is 'Windows standard' look and feel, other people have trouble just walking up to it and playing a CD - the user inferface requires a certain amount of PC/techie skill. How about a dummy/expert display option ? In the dummy view, a few big buttons for play, stop, ff, next track, volume, display track data, a few other things (and a switch to 'expert' of course). A bit like the screen savers but with a few interactive buttons. This would then also be good for touch screen use. (techie thought: write it in html and support 'remote control' from other networked PC's browsers!!) Chris
