x10

I'm about ready to dig into the world of home automation (x10) and need some advice. I have slinke running with two IR ports configured (one in den and the other on screen porch). I need some advice on what is the best x10 pakcage to purchase. I have checked out the smarthouse.com web site and reviewed the IBM home director starter kit plus expansion module and key chain remote for $99.00 as previously mentioned in BBS.

Is this still the best way to go? or is their something better?

I would like to be able to control x10 via IR without a PC connected as CDJ runs on my laptop that I take to work.
