Advanced Slink-e For Dummies Needed Please

Hello all. I have sat back and watched all of the developments over the last few months becasue I was 1,500 miles away from my Slink-e and couldn't play. Now I would like to catch up, but I feel overwhelmed because I seem to to be missing two main concepts that are mentioned time and again in posts. Mapping and X-10 control. I have finally tinkered with my X-10 and now have fountains and mood lighting at my fingertips, but I am screaming to press one of my remote buttons and have Slink-e turn on my non-slink Sony and Onkyo receivers, switch to CD, set the volume, and start a play-list. I am now doing an hour commute on the LA freeways twice a day and would love to kick back to some Clapton and waterfalls with a touch of a button. Maybe if someone could post some samples, or even better, a primer to help walk us non-programmer through it. Thank you ever so much in advance. I know this is a broad request, but I would apreciate it greatly.
