Sony DSS Serial Port Control

Many of us have been disappointed by the IR and slink support the Sony DSS receivers have had. I just came across a web site that has information on how to control the Sony receivers via the pc serial port.
The site has pinout and cable hookup info as well as some good info on hex codes used to set/read data from the receiver.
