Slink-e / CDJ Discussion Archive #9 Re: Alternating playlist problemsPosted By: Colby Boles <cboles@n...> In Response To: Alternating playlist problems (Luis Rodriguez)
I've changed the optimization works - for the better I believe. CDJ no longer tries to simply alternate players - it looks at the items in the playlist and decides if there will be any queue time between the items. MP3 files and tracks from the same disc have negligible queue times, so they can be placed next to each other. CDJ always tries to accomplish delay free play with a minumum of playlist re-arrangement. If you only have two players, the only way to get perfect alternation is if you have an equal (+/- 1) number of items from each changer. Otherwise, CDJ tries it's best by moving things from the same albums together. Colby Responses To This Message
