Slink-e / CDJ Discussion Archive #9 Abstract C/C++ classesPosted By: Ryan Snodgrass <ryan.snodgrass@u...> I am interested in writing some application software in Linux that uses the Slink-e. What I am looking for is an abstract C++ class library for talking to various media devices that I could extend to support the Slink-e (if support doesn't already exist). Has anyone seen anything like this? Otherwise I will have to end up writing my own set of abstract classes which I would rather avoid if I could. I want to abstract out the interface to the Slink-e device so that this can be used by folks who use other types of devices to talk to their media equipment (not Sony specific). I would only support the Slink-e with my work but if someone wanted to extend it in the future they could. Any ideas or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!!! Ryan
