I have also seen cases where a bunch of CDs don't get an 'enter' command. eg. CD 164 would get '1', '6' and '4' but not the 'enter' following it. When I choose such a CD from my pronto, the CD player sits there with the '4' blinking and I have to hit enter manually.
A feature that I could really use as well is to sort by keyword. This would allow me to sequence by category of music independent of the position or across artist names.
