The IR's will not be compatable. I know of no one that uses the IR port on a PC to receive a signal from a Pronto. I use an inexpensive device, the NECIR2PC by custom Remotes to do the work (about $40). It connects to a PC Com port, and accepts standard NEC IR. The Pronto has no problem putting out standard NEC IR. If you take this approach drop me an email and I will help you. I can give you a data base with a large number of NEC IR codes in pronto Data Base format to put on pronto keys. You then need to write a simple VB program to field the ascii input from the NECIR2PC and command the slinke server to tell CDJ what to do. That is how I do it. You could do it all with the slinke, but I prefer the other device which decodes the IR and gives me the ascii equivalent of device and key codes. I am not sure what the state of IR recognition by the Slinke is, but in theory it should work and be able to do the job. Responses To This Message
