Another thought would be to run low-level outs from your amp back to the soundcard. A small app could be written that monitors the input level & adjusts your amp's volume up or down given changes in the source.

The nice part is that you could control this via CDJ / IR, including variable presents for baseline level, amount of adjustment, etc.

You also wouldn't be passing your audio through any new devices - the output to the soundcard would be for level-checking only.
