CX-350 and groups and sliders/keywords

Can anyone help me understand how groups work with the 350? It looks like what I have to do is create groups on the changer and then upload them to CDJ. Right? Then, in CDJ, I assign each album or track to a group and upload to the changer. Is that right?

Also, re keywords and sliders, I see how these are assigned in the info window. But, how do I play a group of songs that reference these values? Do I have to write some macros or is there a window in the software I can't find that lets me select criteria for a list.

The main thing I want to be able to do is define types of music like Blues or Latin and then play back randomly within those groups> I would like to be able to do this from the PC or the remote control.
