Handheld PC/Windows-CE/Slink-E interoperability???

I am looking at purchasing an HP Jornado 430se handheld PC for interfacing to my Slink-E. It runs Windows-CE. It's ports/slots are - One IrDA infrared port, One RS232 serial port,One CompactFlash Type I and II card slot. I would like to put a wireless ethernet card in the Type II card slot for connectivity to the Internet (ie. CDDB, etc) and using CDJ. Then I would like to use the IrDA infrared port to send control signals to the IR receiver in the Slink-E. Anybody have any experiences with Handheld PCs in this type of set up? Sorry for the confusion...I'm still learning.
