Great questions Len. I just purchased a Sony CDP-CX350. (I have a CDP-CX270 / CDP-CX220: 400 discs). I was a bit disappointed with the features of the "350" - You CANNOT add text to the tracks with or without the keyboard. CD Text CD's (few in existance) do indeed show information on both the front panel and the 2 way remote. Is it worth the extra $120.00? Yes and No. The remote is pretty "cool". I wish they would have continued the "on screen" concept they had with the CX-270. This model allows you to add your own text to the tracks, artists, and cd titles. By the way I purchased my CDP-CX350 by mail order at ONE CALL WEST (1-800-663-5255): $300.00 plus the shipping! Not Bad. This may help you in your decision. I was exploring the Slink E product, do you own one? does it work?
