Ahhh, the world of Sony. At least my confidence is restored in that they do provide discrete Power codes and are very consistent. Good to know what the device code is for DSS (183). Sony protocol requires all IR messages to be 45milisec long, i.e. at the end of each message there should be a dead time so that the total message length is 45 milisec. Also many Sony devices require the message to be repeated from 2-3 times. I normally use a factor of 2. The Pronto remote always tries to learn all sony buttons as a repeat sequence (as long as you hold the key down it sends the code) so it works with almost all sony devices.
