Yes, my laptop has infrared

It's a Thinkpad 600 and has an operational infrared port that I use to sync with my Workpad (Palm Pilot). I was kind of wondering if there might be some connection and your observation confirms it. Makes you wonder why there are not software applications that let you control your stereo from your computer (without cables) using these ports. Thanks for the feedback!
