slink-e and Sony 2-way remotes

I'm considering buying a slink-e to control a CDP-CX333ES which will be played through a STR-DA333ES receiver. The receiver has a 2-way remote, which can download cd titles from the CD Changer. The changer is currently on the way here, so I am not sure whether I will need to use the control A1 port to get the remote to work, or whether it will talk to the CD Changer directly. OK, there is a question here.

Does anyone have experience with this type of setup (ie using the receiver's 2-way remote with a mega changer), and whether it causes trouble with slink-e and CDJ? Would I have to use one at a time, or could slink-e and the 2-way remote coexist peacefully? The reason I am asking is because the laptop I would use to run the slink-e would need to be taken away periodically for other tasks.
