Control-S .cde File Help for VTR

I just finished writing a device file for my SLV-M20HF VTR.

The codes aren't much different from the standard sonyvcr.cde except for a few added. My problem is I can't seem to get theses codes to work through the control-s port on the back of the VTR.

I tweaked around the settings so much between several days that I lost track of what was new and old. To make things worse, now I can't get the IR codes to affect the player.

Does anyone have experience with this VTR using the Control-S port? Or better yet a defined CDE file for it.

I'm not experienced at this as most here, so I probably should have just left it at the IR stage...but any help would be appreciated.
