Frequent power cycling

I am using my slink-e as an IR repeater and to display disc titles for my 200disc changer (Cant be bothered making playlists) - CDJ will keep track of what the player is doing, but often it will not identify a new disc automatically - the PC basically cant send to the slink-e untill I power cycle it.
I recall some time there was discussion of this, but I think that was pre-BBS times?
