Thanks for the responses so far. In answer to "fail=nothing happen?", in my case, fail=error reported and no text transferred. I am not at home right now so I cannot quote the error text, but if you were to look at the error messages for errors that occur when text transfer from CDP to CDJ fails, you would probably see one relating to transfer failed. I will send the exact error message tonight.

As for the log file, I was trying to limit the size of the file to the error, so I started the log, executed the text transfer so that the error would be generated, it was, then I turned off the log. In this fashion the log file was on before, during,and after the failed transaction, so I expected it to capture just the failure info. I though this would be easier to go through than having to search through a randomly large log. I will capture a bigger one.

And I will look to the volume control assignment like you recommended.
