These seem to be the default values. Still no go after forcing a save.
I just now clicked 'display defaults' and see that 200 us is the default. I don;t know how it got set to 100 us. I certainly didn;t do it.

Tried with 100 and 200us. No go on both. Should I cycle the power?

On the other thing: Yes, always happens. Also, when in random play, it only seems to play exactly every other track. Again, these are all mp3 files.

Do you know what is causing the dialog (can't get track time or somesuch)? It seems as though this is allowing/triggering the re-order.
