enabling automation dialog delay

When I start after a fresh boot, most of the time I get a very long delay with the dialog box "enabling automation". SlinkX is already resident since I load it at boot time from the startup menu. If I terminate cdj and start it again it passes through that dialog box so quickly I can barely read it.
In my attempts to load CDJ from inside a VB program those times when the enabling automation delay comes up I have a problem The times when it loads normally I do not. Any hints? Has anybody else seen this?
