CDJ IR Control

There was some discussion in the past about CDJ being able to recognize it's own unique set of IR codes and take action based on them. Although CDJ is great when you're sitting in front of a PC there's no way to perform even basic functions (like skipping a track you don't like)from a distance. Of even more interest would be the ability to construct IR driven CDJ command sets which could be used to select predetermined play lists, etc. I mention this because I'm at the crossroads of trying to get CDJ to interact with a fairly high end A/V control system that's closed ended. The only gateway readily available is through the IR path.
