Thanks for replying so quickly. It's good to know that yours runs 100 feet. At least I know *that's* not the problem.

I have had my current configuration set up for about 2 weeks and this has happened twice (I use CDJ about 3-4 hours a day), so it is relatively infrequent. Both times I tried opening and closing slinkeserv 5-6 times and it could not not find the slinke. Then I unplugged the slinke, plugged it in 10 feet closer to the computer, ran slinkeserv (which found it), unplugged it again, and plugged it back in at its original location, at which point it worked fine.

And it is working fine now.
