Re: Control-S with Sony DSS

You may know this, but I thought I should mention it. In order to use a device file of "type=IR" with Control-S, you will want to include the sonycs.cde file instead of the sonyir.cde file. The only difference between these two include files is that the carrier is set to 0 in sonycs.cde as required by Control-S. If you want to generate the file with E-Z Learn ("type=IRTTXONLY"), you should set the carrier to 0 as well, either inside E-Z Learn or by editing the file.
