This is a different, known problem which happens with versions of Slink-e firmware v2.6 and earlier. The Slink-e gets in a situation where it must recevier IR from the built in receiver before it can receive IR from other ports. Unplugging the external receiver just causes a power supply glitch which causes a false trigger on the bult in receiver, solving the problem. If you contact us, we can arrange for a firmware upgrade.
