Help! Christmas Present of Slink-e not working

I am getting a message saying "Error opening database-Error:80040154 Class not registered". I am trying to complete this as a present for someone and running our of time. I am trying to install it on a Compaq laptop running Windows 95, with Office 2000 and latest 12/00 CDJ version. I installed CDJ onto the laptop and tried to get it to complete the disk libray - no luck - message above rec'vd. I tried to hooking up the CD player and disk collection to my PC - creating a music file and copying it over to the laptop - No Luck. Finally I tried copying the whole Nirvis folder from my machine to the laptop with no avail -
