Slink-e / CDJ Discussion Archive #11 Re: New CDJ VersionPosted By: Don Schryver <a911pro@b...> In Response To: Re: New CDJ Version (Brooks Talley)
Well, it's not really the same problem, but it may be related. My problem is that the Slink-e drops the DIO 0 pin (On it's DB25 I/O connector) at random and I am using it to control the joining/seperating of the S-Link control lines, so that control can revert back to the Sony STR-DA50ES's touchscreen remote when CDJ is not running. CDJ will continue to run, like nothing has happened but when the line gets dropped, all the S-Link devices are now in parralel and this causes control problem for the players. It's been going on for months now, Colby is aware of the problem but can't seem to reproduce it on his system. I was, for a while, going nuts trying to figure out what was going on and then I decided to add an LED to the box that contains the control relay. Now, when the Slink-e drops the control line at random, I know that I have to exit and reload CDJ but this doesn't always fix it. Sometimes it will drop again within a few minutes, sometimes it will go for a day or two with no problems. Go figure, it's computerized!!! Don Responses To This Message
