Head over to RemoteCentral http://www.remotecentral.com for tons of CCF files for the Pronto. If the CCF you need is not posted hit the forums and ask around as it is an extremely active bunch of folks.

As far as the Pronto capturing Philips codes, I also have a Philips TiVo and a Pronto. I can capture codes from the TiVo remote without any problems. TiVo even has a couple of CCF files on their site for the Pronto.

There must be something else involved with the cable box. Maybe it uses a strange carrier frequency or it is using an RF remote or something else strange. Philips does off the wall stuff once in a while.
