Re: TIVO feedback?

I've had TIVO for about a year - and it does become one of those things you can't live without. I can't provide much feedback about recording quality since I only use High quality (which is excellent). It works great - be warned that you'll probably find you're watching more TV than you used to.

My only disappointment was to learn after buying lifetime service that that is tied to the serial number of the unit itself. (It is still probably cheaper in the long run than $10 a month.) So if you replace a unit, you need to buy the service for it. I bought a 14 hour unit (much too small - since the numbers are always quoted in the lowest quality (very stupid) and they don't even sell these any more). If you're adventurous you can add capacity yourself:
