In my case, the carrier frequency is 38500. EZ-learn pattern matches the input from the Kenwood with a quality factor > .95 (I guess that's what the number is -- it gets higher the closer I tweek the .cde file to match observed signals). But the kenwood will only respond to echo'ed signals if the sampling rate is 50 usec.

Is the sampling inaccuracy only a consideration when multiple inputs are simultaneously "very active"? If so, that's good news for me. I don't expect simultaneous significant activity on more than one input. If we're in the bedroom, the bedroom IR will be active--when in the family room, the family room will be the active one. So there is no need to disable inputs in rooms that are known to be inactive in an effort to mitigate the side effects of a high sampling rate.

Have I got it right?
