Panasonic and Special Message #1

It seems that when the slinke is receiving IR codes learnt by a Marantz RC2000 for a Panasonic TV, it sends a "Port Special Message" from the IR port of type 1, "M=0x01", which apparently doesn't take any arguments. This wasn't documented anywhere. Using the IRDEMO I was unable to teach the slinke any of the panasonic IR codes from the marantz (or the original remote) for the Panasonic TV.
