Wanted: slink-e parallel port "breakout box"

To Colby or any other intrepid hardware hackers using the slink-e, I have an
idea for the next addon product for the slink-e 2.0 I'd love to see:

While I continue to learn about the differences between "audio" S-Link
(Control-A1), and "video" S-Link (Control-S), I know I'm going to need a lot
more ports that support Control-S. The slink-e is happy to oblige, via its
expansion port. I would love to get a device that connected to the expansion
port and has 2 stacks of 8 mini-jacks (8 Rx, 8 Tx) for connecting additional
Control-S cables, or IR emitters, like the ones found here:

I imagine the box as small (maybe 4" x 1" x .75"), black with the mini-jacks
on one face stacked in two rows of 8, and either a DB25-port (preferred), or
a 1' to 2' cable coming out the other. Ideally there would be screw mounts
on the side to facilitate securing it to the inside of a cabinet.

What do you think? How hard would it be to make something like that? How
much do you think it would end up costing?
