The problem here is that your DLL is probably too old. The install program should update this automatically, but apparently did not. Did you dowload the full version or the "lite" one? You should download the full version. Assuming that you did get the full one, make a backup copy of your current mfc42.dll and try placing the one on the Nirvis website in your system directory.

P.S. you can check the versions of DLLs by right clicking on them in explorer. Choose the properties menu option and then the version tab.
