Either look at the devices window in CDJ or View->Slinkes in slinkeserv. It should tell you the version of Slinke firmware you have in the sentence "Slinke X.X on COMX:"
If you are not having problems where you are needing to power-cycle the Slink-e, there is no reason to upgrade - this is all that is being fixed.
