I found that turning off the "poll idle players" in cdj helped with short blank tracks getting recorded. The new version of cdj doesn't have this option, and I have not yet recorded any MD's with it. Things to keep in mind: MDManager seems to use IR a lot - watch that you don't get in the way of the signal; check your MD's auto-track feature - it should be off - let MDManager handle track marking; and I set "scroll display every.." to 0. The problems with MDManager are inconsistent - and I have not taken the time to establish which of the things listed above really help and which are superstitions :)
