Playing MP3's in CDJ

I can see that if I display devices in CDJ there is an MP3 decoder there. I can add MP3's to my album library and get them into the playlist.

When I attempt to hit play, the selection in the playlist flashes and nothing plays.

Am I mistaken in believing that an MP3 will play though the Slink-e? Is there some other layer I need to play MP3s?
