CDP-CX400 & CDP-CX335

I have the Slink-E hooked up to my 300 disc changer(CDP-CX335) and it works fine. However, I also have a 400 Disc changer, which I cannot hook up properly at all. My booklet for the 300 Disc changer says to use the A1-II? cable to go from 1 changer to the next. However, then the Slink-E doesn't pick up the second changer. If I hooked up both CD players to the Slink-E, then I don't have any sound from the 400 disc changer. I have the RCA cables daisy chained like its supposed to be. Any suggestions?
