The CM11 connects to a free comm port on your PC.

Slink-Serve needs full control of the CM11, so you may want to get another one if you plan to use your HA software along with The Slink-e for the mapping of IR to x10.

I have based my HA setup around the Slink-e, I have 2 CM11s, 1 for Slinkserve & 1 for my HA software, it works very well.

By having the HA software running, complex x10 macros can be easily achieved via IR command.
