Digital Optical Output to Computer Input

Hi all, Have any of you Slinke users ever come across a way to use the Digital Optical output on the back of the Sony players as input to a computer...much like a CD-ROM. The reason - MP3 ripping: I think it would be neat to dial up any song in one's collection using the Slinke, and then be able to read it into the computer for mp3 conversion.In other words, using the Sony jukebox as a replacement for a CD-ROM when using eg.AudioGrabber
