Object required error

I'm feeling like such a dunce. My vb test application using the slinkx component was working fine. Then suddenly I started getting a runtime error "424" object required error. Slinkx is added and the ocx is there. I've tried reinstalling cdj just to make sure I had the right files where they should be. I've checked my code and rem'd the suspect lines, but all calls for the ocx result in this error. I'm just learning vb. Any ideas?
