How to control reciever

Not sure if this is something that can be done, but here is my dilemma. I needed to add a 3rd multidisk player. Before I go out and blow the money I want to verify that Slink-E and the CDJ can handle the switching for me. I have verified that I can only put two Sony players on a Slink chain. But, I'd still like to be able to select songs off all 3 players for random shuffle and playlists, etc.. I'd like to do this without having to get up and switch inputs on my reciever every time.

Is this what the IR functionality of Slink-E does? I have to admit to not understanding that portion of it at all.
