I appreciate all of the suggestions I've received. Just knowing that it should/can work is encouraging. ___ Of course I tried installing the MDAC ;) the version 2.5 installer said it was already installed on my system. When I try installing 2.1 I get the following message: "Microsoft Data Access Components cannot be installed on this version of your operating system. Starting with Windows 2000, Microsoft Data Acess Components are distributed as part of the operating system. All updates must be obtained via operating system Service Packs. Please consult the Microsoft Data Access website http://www.microsoft.com/data for more information." I also, ran the "MDAC Component Checker" and it reported the following: -Closest Version: 2.5 Release (2.50.4403.12) -Summary Report Details: Item Name / Item Type / ErrorString / Status All other files and registry details seemed to pass OK. Maybe somebody who has it working with W2K can download the component checker from MS ( http://download.microsoft.com/download/dasdk/install/1.0/WIN98/EN-US/cc.exe ) run it, save and zip the results and email them to me. Thanks All.
