I too use an old ATI-Wonder, You can pick them up cheap (<100) and they have nice video out, support webtv (why not). I also have a matrox card (good quality but flaky) and a voodoo3 card. I even have a cheapo (<40) Janton card All do adequate video out, but the ATI is the most flexible, and has several cool software features. This obsession with video out and a computer to control home through the TV is why I wrote the partyGUI. Regular TVs are never going to do a good job displaying text, no matter the card. The CDJ gui is great for a PC, but not so good on composite video. Also be careful, many TVs (mine included) do not do well with computer video out, and are subject to screen burn, you probably will want to tweak your screen colors for maximum satisfaction (very little white...)
