Find a reasonable multi-zone amp like those sold by Kustom. They are on the WEB.
I used their smaller one with out source selection and front ended it with a Xantech RP41 which is not too expensive but allows full IR remote control over tone balance, source selection, etc. The nice thing about kustom is the way they handle their remote Volume controls.
Their larger ones has 4 inputs and you can control what is playing, all zones play the same thng from any one of the remote volume controls at the speakers. the volume control contects to the amp on a run of CAT 5 and no audio passes through it. Pressing the volume control steps through the source and an led tells you which source is on.
