I have the same problem. My setup is as follows.

2 Sony CDP-CX300 CD Changers controlled by an Escient TuneBase 100. Parasound AVC-2500 preamp.

I lose about a second off the beginning of each song. I haven't determined if it occurs only when switching players, but I think it happens all the time.

My Parasound breifly reports "UNKNOWN DIGITAL" between songs before flashing back to "DIGITAL PCM" so it appears that it is the same problem with it losing "lock" and taking a second to catch it again.

Since the TuneBase controls the Sony with S-Link codes would hooking up the DXS help? Would I be able to get the DXS to recognize the changeover in advance based on the S-Link signal from the TuneBase?
