One thing I may have neglected to mention in the circuit you implemented is that you must configure that input in slinkeserv to have a reversed polarity sense as that input will be ~5V when active and 0V when inactive whereas the normal receiver inputs are 0V when active. You can do this by clicking the pulse like shape to the right the green input enable symbol to invert the input sensing. Make sure to save the settings to RAM and EEPROM. The Sony DVD has a Control-S input port, not a Control-A1 port like the CD players. To connect to this, plug it into the single port labeled "Control-S" on the Slink-e. This port is shared with IRTX7, so you must connect your DVD device file to this port to use it. Control-S has no carrier, so the carrier must also be set to 0 in the device file.
