Slink-e / CDJ Discussion Archive #7 Two Players and No TracksPosted By: Robert Mascio <Rmascio@c...> Hi, I have been following the dialog about hooking two players up to Slinke without a mixer and I would like to throw in my two cents. I have a CDX-250 & a CDX-300 players and I have each of them hooked up to a separate port on the Slinke. Then I took another S-link cable, connected one end to the 300 (both players have two S-ports), cut it, spliced it through an x10 relay that closes 30 seconds after the players are started, then connected it to the 250. By leaving the relay open while CDJ is locating the players it means the players are found only once. Then by closing the relay the 300 now detects the second player and allows its signal to pass through it to the amp. I haven't had any problems with the players playing the wrong songs, and most of the time, the waiting player is set to the next song so there isn't any dead air waiting for it to move to the next disc. Also, if you want to use the players without CDJ they will operate in master/slave mode. Just disable this before trying to use CDJ or it won't wotk properly. Also, I have one disc that CDJ has located as beening in my changer, and I can play it through CDJ but no name or titles come up. I have tried moving it to another slot but the same thing happens. Any ideas on how I can fix this? Thanks, Bob Responses To This Message
