Slink-e / CDJ Discussion Archive #7 Re: New Slinkeserv and E-Z Learn versionsPosted By: Jesper Backman <jesper_backman@s...> In Response To: New Slinkeserv and E-Z Learn versions (Colby Boles)
Colby,I have had trouble when I manually have created TX/RX devicefiles. Some have worked and some have not so I was thrilled when I saw that you where going to release a new version of E-Z learn that included RX file support. But yesterday when I took a look at it I discovered that it did not "suck" out the timing-info from the remote, instead one should load the timing- onfo from various files like sonyir.cde, like I did when I made the files manually. Now,sony works just fine but I have problems with my Marantz RC2000 remote which has RC5 codes pre installed,TV and VCR works but not the others like AMP etc.The code alters it puts an extra zero every other keypress or something.Im not at home right now so I cant cut from the SLINK window.I also have a Pioneer LD/DVD player and I only get something like this: nomatchpioneer[] no binarycode at all.Is it possible for EZ-learn to get the correct timing info or how do I do to get the timing info manually? I realize that this may be complicated but even if the device file library is huge there will always be remotes that are not there and there will come out new gear and so on.So please tell me that it is a way to get the timing info.
